THE NINA KAY STORY
The Nina Kay story begins in 2007 when Nina, a devoted wife and mother, opened a small fashion store in suburban Melbourne.
After 21 years in a successful career as a financial planner and with 2 boys graduating from high school, Nina saw an opportunity to explore her long held passion for fashion design.
At the beginning of her fashion design career Nina created a range of exquisite fashion clothing for women, however, it wasn't until she opened a store in Queen Street in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, that the Nina Kay brand truly started to take shape.
As Nina's business grew she noticed that a lot of professional women were having difficulty finding suitable business shirts for the office environment.
As a professional woman in the financial world, Nina could empathise with these women and their challenge to find the right type of business shirts.
Identifying an opportunity, Nina took it upon herself to design a range of short and long sleeved professional business shirts made exclusively for women. To compliment this range, she also introduced a range of feminine cuff links – a first for Australia!
Within a year Nina had a full range of business shirts that rivalled her established competitors not only in quality, but also at prices never before seen in the market.
Nina visits her suppliers in China every two months, to check quality standards and discuss new designs. She has fostered deep connections with them and has direct access to their vast knowledge of sourcing high quality materials and producing clothing.
An online store soon followed the opening of the Queen Street store and a second retail outlet was opened on the ‘Paris End’ of Collins Street in Melbourne.
Within a few short years Nina had realised her dream. She was not only creating high quality professional business shirts for women in Melbourne's CBD, but for professional women all across Australia.
Today, the Nina Kay business has a dedicated team who have developed an expertise and a desire to deliver on the promise of complete satisfaction for our customers when they first lay their eyes on a shirt, to when they finally receive it at their front door.
The next development phase for Nina Kay will be to focus all our attention on our online website business as we strive to create the premier online destination for women’s professional business shirts. |

Designer & Founder
Nina, founder of the Nina Kay brand, has always had a great desire to provide the best in quality and design for professional women.
She is dedicated to keeping the Nina Kay brand a a guiding light when it comes to business shirts for women.
She has a feverish hand design, and spends dedicated hours in the studio designing and drafting the perfect shirts, skirts and pants, to be made available for women all across Australia.

Hugh Mackay
Director
Together with Nina, Hugh envisaged bringing to you the best in style and quality when it comes to women's shirt fashion.
He was previously in manufacturing and marketing internationally, dealing with people of all walks life.
Hugh is able to bring to Nina Kay his vast knowledge and expertise in business, marketing, and production. |

Brett Mackay
Accounts, Finances and Logistics
Brett manages the accounts, logistics and forward planning of the Nina Kay business, to ensure that our supply chain is well managed.
He also has an expert understanding in inventory control and strives to get your order to you as fast as possible.
Brett's home language is English, but he is also fluent in Mandarin. This is a valuable asset when working with our China suppliers. |
